IMAGINARY PASTORAL
The idea of home is one that follows me from a young age. I've lived in all kinds of homes,
5 star hotels, boarding rooms, dingy humid apartments shared by norwegians, airport hotels, sprawling farmhouses, compact condos.. and finally this acreage homestead.
The idea of representing the concept of home challenged me. Over time, the asymmetrical parallelogram emerged and it evoked structure and the idea of containment... physical, emotional and spiritual.
Home in this series might not be a house, but rather the space between the boundaries of sky and soil. The cracks in the barn windows that spotlight the dancing particles of old dust. Lingering between the rafters of a past generation of farmers.
Your container holds all you accept.
